About Ashielah:

Assalamu Alaikom! I am Ashielah Abdulmalik Abu-Amen. 20 years old and the younger daughter of the family. 

Ther are lots of people who always comment on my name. Like "hey, isn't your name a christian name?" "Why did your father name you that way?" "Your name has no meaning, right?".

We Muslims always take our name seriously. Because it is necessary for us to acquire a name with great meaning. That is why I always receive a comment like that.

Actually, I was named 3 times. My babang (Dad) named me Ashmila when I was born. But later on my mom named me Amilah (I don't know why she prefer this name ratherthan the first). And lastly the name I have right now 'Ashielah' (so obviously my name was late registered in NSO).

My name is from the arabic word "اصل"  (pronounce as As'l) which means 'original'. The arabic spelling of my name is "أصيلة" who possess the meaning of origin and sunrise.

I was born on July 2, 1999 here in Marawi City, but I didn't grew up here. Due to my dad's work I became an NPA kid. I grew up in Zamboanga and Manila then later when I reach high school. My dad decided to let us stay here in Marawi.

I am currently taking a course of Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Major in Home Economics at Mindanao State University-Main Campus. 

Favorites:

Chocolates and Strawberries are my favorite. But I don't like strawberry flavored foods (ex. Strawberry jam, strawberry cake, etc.)

I like spicy foods rather than sweets. I also love seafoods very much even though I'm allergic to it. And lastly I love night than morning.
